WHAT IT DOES

Turn safe vector source into exact-size pixels.

Paste or drop an SVG, let the browser validate and render it, choose exact output dimensions and a supported bitmap format, then download the result without uploading the source. The converter shares SVG Viewer’s refusal of scripts, event handlers, external resources, entities, stylesheets, and foreignObject content before the image decoder sees the document.

Why use it?

Use it when a destination needs raster pixels rather than vector markup, such as a fixed-size thumbnail or a bitmap-only upload.

How to use this tool

  1. Paste or load a self-contained SVG and check the preview's intrinsic size.
  2. Set the intended pixel width and height, choose PNG, JPEG, or an available WebP encoder, and convert.
  3. For a transparent icon, choose an alpha-capable format. Enlarging the exported PNG later does not recover vector detail; render again from the SVG at the larger size.

Details and limitations

  • Intrinsic size is read from numeric width and height attributes first, then from the viewBox; an SVG with neither must declare its intended dimensions before it can be rasterised.
  • PNG, JPEG, and WebP outputs use the browser canvas encoder, and a choice is offered only after the browser returns that exact MIME type instead of silently falling back to PNG.
  • Width and height can be changed with the original aspect ratio locked, up to 16,384 pixels per side and 40 megapixels in the rendered result.
  • JPEG fills transparent artwork with the selected background. PNG and WebP retain alpha, while all exports contain rendered pixels rather than SVG scripts, links, or metadata.

COMMON QUESTIONS

SVG Converter questions

Why does this converter reject some SVG files?
SVG can contain executable and remotely loaded content. The converter refuses scripts, event attributes, external URLs, entities, external stylesheets, data URLs carrying HTML or SVG, and foreignObject before rendering.
How is the output size chosen?
Numeric SVG width and height are used when both are present; otherwise the viewBox width and height become the initial pixel dimensions. You can then resize with the aspect ratio locked or unlocked.
Is the SVG uploaded to convert it?
No. Validation, image decoding, canvas rendering, preview, and download all run in this browser.
