WHAT IT DOES

Make a useful QR payload, then save the code.

Generate a QR code locally for plain text, a URL, Wi-Fi credentials, email, phone, or SMS. The structured modes build standards-shaped payloads from the fields you choose, while the preview and SVG/PNG downloads stay inside the browser.

Why use it?

Use it to place a structured payload into a scannable image without relying on a hosted QR-generation service.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose Text, URL, Wi-Fi, Email, Phone, or SMS and complete the fields for that mode.
  2. Generate and inspect the payload and preview. A Wi-Fi code contains access details, so share it only with its intended audience.
  3. Download PNG or SVG and test scanning at the intended display or print size. The destination app decides what to do with the payload; generating the image does not visit a URL or connect to Wi-Fi.

Details and limitations

  • URL mode accepts HTTP and HTTPS links; Wi-Fi mode escapes the SSID and password fields for the QR payload rather than treating them as arbitrary markup.
  • Email, phone, and SMS modes produce familiar URI payloads that mobile scanners can hand to the matching app.
  • The QR renderer caps payload size, reports generation errors explicitly, and never executes or injects the text entered into the page.
  • SVG and PNG downloads are created as local object/data URLs after generation; no image or payload is sent to a QR service.

COMMON QUESTIONS

QR Codes questions

Can the QR generator create a Wi-Fi code?
Yes. Choose Wi-Fi, enter the network name, security mode, password, and hidden-network setting, then generate. The fields are escaped into a standard WIFI payload.
Are QR images sent to an external service?
No. The SVG and PNG are rendered in your browser from the payload. Downloading either format creates a local file and does not make a network request.
