WHAT IT DOES
Build the equation, see it, then copy the exact source.
Write a LaTeX math expression with helpers for common structures and symbols, inspect a live local preview, and copy it bare or in the wrapper your document expects. The editor renders with KaTeX in your browser; it does not compile a TeX document or generate a PDF.
Why use it?
Use it to compose a mathematical expression and check its local rendering before pasting it into a document that supports LaTeX math.
How to use this tool
- Type an expression or use a structure helper. For example, use the fraction helper to place a numerator and denominator in separate braces.
- Check the preview for unsupported commands and choose the bare, inline, or display wrapper expected by your destination.
- Copy the LaTeX and verify it in that destination. This editor handles equations, not complete .tex documents, packages, or PDF compilation.
Details and limitations
- Insertion helpers add fractions, roots, powers, subscripts, sums, integrals, matrices, cases, and frequently used symbols without making you remember every command.
- The wrapper setting controls what Copy LaTeX returns: a bare expression, inline math, or display math. The preview follows the same inline or display choice.
- Dropped or pasted .tex fragments are read locally. Full documents, packages, shell escapes, and custom compilation steps are outside this equation editor.
- KaTeX supports a broad mathematical subset of LaTeX, but it is not a complete TeX engine; unsupported commands are reported beside the preview.
